Google renews the Android Auto settings menu

Google recently released its long-awaited “Coolwalk” redesign for Android Auto in beta, but the latest updates to the platform have affected more than just the user interface. Google has also redesigned the Android Auto settings menu, in true Material You style.

Google introduces Material You in the Android Auto settings menu

In version 7.5 of the app, the Android Auto settings menu now includes the dark theme thanks to the Material You design.

This new settings menu isn’t available to everyone yet, but the folks at 9To5Google managed to manually activate it to give us a first look.

As with most of Google’s modern Android apps, Android Auto now supports the Material You theme to pop colors and can switch between light and dark themes, giving it a much neater overall look than before.

It’s currently unclear when Google will begin to widely roll out this new settings menu for Android Auto users, but it can’t be ruled out that it could debut widely alongside the “Coolwalk” redesign.
